Teens these days have lives that are full of activities and events - homework and sports and drivers ed. Why throw something else into that schedule? Our goal for youth ministry at NCC is that it not be like any of those other activities. When you're here, we hope you experience genuine Christian community - without winners and losers, where all are welcome and we know everyone is loved in God's eyes. Try it - it just might change your life. All 7th-12th graders are welcome to join us anytime. So, what do we do together?? StudySunday mornings in the Youth Room come talk about the craziness of these lives we live and what it means to try to live them like Christians. This year kicks off with a Bible Study called Revolution. Come check it out - starting September 17th at 10:30am.
Service
The youth of NCC are active in mission and outreach. We've taken a summer mission trip for 7 years to volunteer from Oklahoma to South Carolina. We've repaired a lot of houses, and our lives are in the work we do. Summer isn't the only time we think about others- we help out at the Good News Kitchen, walk the CROP walk, and do what else we can to show God's love in the world.
And last, but not least...
Silliness!
We get together most of all because we have a good time together. At youth group, we have a place to laugh and share our ups and downs and just be ourselves. For all these reasons and more, we hope you join us in youth ministry at Northfield Community Church. For more information on Youth Ministry at NCC please contact Rev. Something to consider...
“[Be Holy] Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.”
