Help Northfield Community Church bring the spirit of Christmas to the community of East Garfield Park, recently devastated by the Halloween mass shooting.  Breakthrough Ministries is providing the community with the Breakthrough Christmas Store - 5,000 gifts for 500 Garfield area residents. The gifts will provide parents, grandparents and caregivers, as well as participants in Breakthrough’s programs, a dignified way to purchase gifts for their loved ones at a fraction of normal costs, and be part of the joyful Christmas gift-giving process.

If you purchase at a store, plan on bringing your UNWRAPPED gift to Sunday Morning church Service December 11. It will be part of our “Blessing of the Gifts”. If you order online, Vicky will make sure your gift is at NCC that Sunday morning for the blessing.

Gifts for all ages are needed. There are online gift registries set up at Amazon.com and also at Target.com to help with suggestions. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES –  You can volunteer to help drive the gifts down to Breakthrough on 12/14. In addition, Breakthrough Ministries has volunteer jobs available during store setup (12/15&16) and during store hours (12/17) to greet and help clients purchase and wrap gifts.
