George Williams has served as, organist, choir master and Director of Music at Northfield Community since 1967.  On Sunday, May 15, 2007 NCC recognized George for his years of faithful service.  A choral work was commissioned by former NCC member Gary Fry for the occassion and performed by the Sanctuary choir and associated instrumentalist.

In addition an endowed scholarship was established for support of the work of aspiring organists at the Music Institute of Chicago  through the gifts of members and friends of the church and George Williams.
