We gather with neighbors and community members to begin the season of Lent with the imposition of ashes on our foreheads. Three Northfield congregations--Ascension Lutheran, Northfield Community and St. James the Less Episcopal--invite you to receive ashes in a drive-by fashion and to worship together in the evening.

Ashes To Go in the Morning, 8:00-9:30 a.m.

Northfield Community Church, 400 Wagner Road, Northfield

Ashes will be waiting for you in the colonnades Ash Wednesday morning.

You need not leave your car--drive up to the servers, and they will impose ashes on your forehead and offer an Ash Wednesday blessing.

Ashes to Go in the Afternoon, 3:00-4:30 p.m.

St. James the Less Episcopal Church, 550 Sunset Ridge Road, Northfield

Ashes will be waiting for you at the church's front door Ash Wednesday afternoon.

Ash Wednesday Worship, 7:00 p.m.

Lutheran Church of the Ascension, 460 Sunset Ridge Road, Northfield

The three congregations gather for worship in Ascension's sanctuary.

Worship will include the Imposition of Ashes and Holy Communion.

Worship leaders from the three congregations will participate. All are welcome.
