NCC's Senior Minister since June, 2000, Reverend Duayne Meyer, hails from Old Monroe, Missouri, a small farming community located midway between Hannibal and St. Louis. Ordained by the United Church of Christ (UCC) in 1985, Rev. Meyer received his undergraduate degree in Secondary Education from the University of Missouri, St. Louis and his Master of Divinity degree from Eden Theological Seminary, continuing post-graduate studies at Eden, St. Louis University and with the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center.
Prior to coming to NCC he served pastorates in Columbia, Illinois and
Ferguson, Missouri. Reverend Meyer is married to Beth Boyd Meyer, a registered nurse, who works in Informatics at a progressive medical technology company. The Meyers have three children, Sarah, Anna and Samuel and nine grandchildren.
